Federal Institute for Sustainable Development (FISD): The FISD is responsible for the policy preparation regarding sustainable development, the coordination of the implementation of the policy regarding sustainable development and making expertise available, among other things. The FISD also manages this website.
Interdepartmental Commission for Sustainable Development (ICSD): The ICSD advises the government on determining its long-term vision regarding sustainable development. This vision is a strategic policy tool offering a framework for the development of concrete actions and measures to change the current situation to the desired situation in 2050.
Indicators.be: On this website, the Task Force Sustainable Development of the Federal Planning Bureau presents indicators on the progress of Belgian society towards sustainable development.
United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC): The United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) was opened on 1 January 2004 in Brussels. The Regional Centre replaces the nine European UN Information Centres (Athens, Bonn, Brussels, Copenhagen, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Paris, Rome), which were closed on 31 December 2003 following a decision of the General Assembly of the United Nations during the 58th session. The mandate of UNRIC covers Western Europe and UNRIC disseminates information and documentation to countries in this region. UNRIC offers its services to the entire society and sets up common projects and activities with important partners such as Ministries, media, NGOs, educational institutions and local authorities. UNRIC also provides information material, such as important UN reports and documents, press folders, posters, information bulletins and brochures.
