Launch of the Sustainable Just Cities Platform

The UrbanA project is a 3-year project funded by the European Commission. It took up the challenge to synthesize and broker knowledge for sustainable and just cities generated by prior research and innovation projects, translate this knowledge into action, empower participants to apply this knowledge locally, facilitate interaction among diverse participants, and influence policies in favour of sustainable and just cities.

Its impact has been steadily growing in its knowledge and community these last two years. Digging into other EU-funded projects was definitely a good way to start our 3-year journey. Then, gathering more than 1’000 individuals from across Europe to complete and translate this knowledge into action was even more rewarding. Throughout our research and events, we identified approaches, drivers and governance arrangements to build cities more sustainable and just.The final stage of the project is about sharing keys and drafting recommendations to unlock policy action for sustainable just cities.
