About this website

This website aims to promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Belgium. Via this website actions and initiatives on the SDGs will also be promoted. And finally, this website collects qualitative information on the implementation of the SDGs in Belgium.

In this respect, the website contributes to SDG 12.8: "By 2030 ensure that people everywhere have the relevant information and awareness for sustainable development and lifestyles in harmony with nature".

“The recently adopted global 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) articulates key issues that call for urgent action at all levels and by all stakeholders. This website contributes to this ambitious, universal and transformative agenda by promoting the organization of bottom-up activities that have a thematic link to and support the SDGs. As such, the website aims to raise awareness for the 2030 Agenda in Belgium and calls upon local stakeholders to actively engage with sustainable development, in general, and the SDGs, in particular.”
